In this work, love is shown as the choice of the imperfect. Around the figure hang ripe apples, bright and almost flawless, yet she embraces a pear with a worm. This image becomes an ironic metaphor for intimacy: sometimes we are drawn not to the most “correct” option, but to the one that carries vulnerability, strangeness, otherness, and living imperfection. The pear becomes an image of a partner chosen not for meeting an ideal, but through inner recognition. The figure holds it very tenderly, as if protecting her choice from the outside world, aware of the illogical nature of the situation and enjoying it at the same time. The work speaks about love as the ability to see value in imperfection. Among many “right” options, a person may still choose the one who feels closer and more important to them.
